The Deaf Frog and the Summit
Once upon a time, in a quiet lake filled with water lilies and green frogs, lived a little frog with a unique trait: he could not hear well. In fact, he was almost deaf. He could not hear the voices of the others, nor the comments they made around him.
Next to that lake, there was a large hill. All the frogs dreamed of reaching its summit, but no one succeeded. It was very difficult. Most of them gave up, telling one another,"It's impossible! We can't do it! There's no point in trying!"
One day, the deaf frog announced that he would try to climb the hill. The others laughed, saying, "You? But you can't even hear! You have no hope!"
But the little frog, who heard none of this, began his journey. He had no thoughts of the others' voices, only the image of the summit in his mind.
He climbed slowly, with determination and courage. He fell, got back up, and tried again. As the others watched, they continued to say, "He will get tired... He will give up..."However, he heard nothing. And he did not stop.
Day by day, the little frog got closer to the summit.
And one bright morning — he did it! He stood at the top and looked down at the lake from above. His heart filled with joy; it was his first great success.

Don’t ever let people tell you what you can’t do!
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήAs we grow older, we practice this,
Διαγραφήwe still haven't succeeded in not listening,
but as long as we live,
we hope!
If only we were all deaf to other people's criticisms. A lovely parable.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήI would really like that too, Elephant Child!
ΔιαγραφήAlthough as I get older I practice listening to others less!!
Oh, I liked his determination. Great visuals and a beautiful story.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήThank you Ellie!!
ΔιαγραφήHope, why shouldn't he have any, just because he could barely hear anything! Those who are deaf or have a disability often have more strength within themselves to achieve their goals. They have hope stronger than those who have nothing.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήYou portrayed it beautifully in pictures and words!
Thank you. Hugs Elke
Exactly,
ΔιαγραφήElke, and many times the words of others discourage us so much!!
At least that's true for me, Elke, because I live in a small place,
I often take into account the opinions of others and that's not good!!
Hugs and greetings!!
Wonderful little story :-D
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήThank you Ananka!
ΔιαγραφήOkay, this story really hits different. I love how the little frog just ignored all the haters and kept going sometimes you gotta block out the noise and focus on your own climb, you know? It’s like a reminder not to let anyone’s doubts stop you from reaching your goals. Honestly, made me wanna keep pushing no matter what. www.melodyjacob.com
